A steady space in uncertain times
Virtual counselling for adults in Ontario.
We understand the unique challenges facing those who lead, work, and care in feminist, social justice, and helping professions — many of whom carry their own histories of trauma while navigating burnout, compassion fatigue, and the weight of leading in a time of uncertainty.
Our counselling practice provides a steady space for reflection, healing, and renewal to ensure the well-being of those whose vision and care sustain social change.

Why you might want to reach out
You’re carrying so much — clients, teams, community, causes — and still trying to keep your own life steady. But it’s getting harder to ignore the quiet feeling that something isn’t working anymore.
Maybe you’ve been pushing through for too long, holding stories of trauma, grief, or violence while navigating burnout, compassion fatigue, or perfectionism.
Maybe you’re leading or working in systems that feel under-resourced and overwhelming, and you find yourself questioning how long you can keep going this way.
Maybe you’re navigating a transition — a change in role, identity, relationships, or direction — and you’re feeling unmoored.
Or maybe things are mostly okay on the surface, but part of you is asking for more ease, clarity, and alignment with the work and life you want to sustain.
You don’t have to wait for things to fall apart to ask for support. Therapy can be a steady space to lay things down, make sense of where you are, and reconnect with your own resilience and possibility.
Welcome! I’m Erin.
Therapy with me is collaborative, relational, and rooted in respect for your lived experience. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to help you explore the patterns, pressures, and possibilities that are showing up for you now.
My practice draws from feminist, trauma-informed, and narrative approaches, alongside evidence-based tools like cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). Together, we might look at how systems and expectations shape your experience, while also building practical strategies to help you respond to burnout, self-doubt, or the day-to-day challenges of holding so much for others.
I’m a registered social worker and psychotherapist, and hold a Master of Social Work (Dalhousie University), along with additional training and certification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (Wilfred Laurier University) and Women’s Reproductive Mental Health (Wilfred Laurier University). With more than 15 years of experience in the gender-based violence and social services sector, I bring a deep understanding of what it means to lead, work and care in organizations where trauma, limited resources, and constant change are part of the landscape.
I bring this awareness into therapy, offering a steady space for leaders, frontline workers, and those navigating burnout, compassion fatigue, or the impacts of trauma. Our work together can be a place to pause, reflect, and reconnect with your own story and vision so you can move forward with greater clarity, alignment, and care for yourself.
What to expect
Sessions are 50 minutes long and take place virtually via a secure video platform. I work with all genders aged 18 and up who live anywhere in Ontario.
My fee is $200 per session. I’m a registered social worker (RSW) with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Many extended health insurance plans provide coverage for psychotherapy with an RSW; however, you will need to check with your insurer to be sure.
Getting started begins with a free 20-minute consultation. This is a chance for us to talk about what you’re looking for, ask questions, and get a sense of whether we’d be a good fit. If it feels right to move forward, we’ll schedule your first session and move at a pace that works for you.
Some people come to therapy with a clear focus; others aren’t sure where to start. Either is welcome. We’ll begin with where you are, and go from there.
